April was a busy month! First, I attended the delightful New Paths chamber music festival in Beverly, UK, where I performed several concerts featuring works by Copland, Martinu, Schumann, Gershwin, and Coleridge-Taylor, among others. It was wonderful to return to the festival. Amidst this, I quickly traveled to Shrewsbury for a concert with the Carducci Quartet, where we performed Mozart's Quintet and Schubert's Octet. Following that, I made a short pilgrimage to Paris to visit my friends at Buffet-Crampon and Vandoren. It's always enjoyable to see what's new and catch up. This time, I had the honour of meeting Mr. Bernard Vandoren himself. Back in the UK, i met up with my good friend and Bandoneon player, JP Jofre for a day of recording with the United Strings of Europe. We recorded two pieces which will be released later in the year. Then I hopped back on a plane to the US for some work with Buffet Crampon USA. We recorded new content, and I had the opportunity to visit a local performing arts school for a talk and masterclass. After all of that, I flew home and went to bed!
