‘Zdes’ khorosho’ (‘How fair is this spot’) is the seventh song from Rachmaninov’s “Twelve Romances”, op. 21. I had been wanting to arrange this well-known song for some time and during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, it finally happened.  For technical reasons I think the piece works best on A clarinet, but also because the A Clarinet has a slightly different, darker sound to the Bb. I have included both parts in this arrangement for those who would like to experiment. -Julian
